Description
Learn to implement, configure, manage, and troubleshoot Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) in Windows Server 2012R2 environment. Explore core AD DS concepts and functionality, implementing group policies, performing backup and restoration, and monitoring and troubleshooting Active Directory-related issues. Cloud technology using Microsoft Azure is used to enhance the hands-on classroom learning experience.
Prerequisites
NETT 2119 A+ Hardware or NETT 2113 Server Fundamentals
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Discuss the theories behind Microsoft Windows Active Directory Services (ADS) and its uses for Access Control and Messaging infrastructures
- Install Microsoft Windows Server in preparation for ADS
- Design and implement Domain Name System (DNS) for different operational modes with emphasis for ADS
- Design and implement scripts for Windows Operating System and for ADS
- Design and implement Group Policy Objects (GPO) for ADS
- Utilize troubleshooting principles for DNS, ADS, and GPO technologies
