This course is an introduction to research methods in psychology with a particular focus on critical thinking and experimental design.

PSYC 1100 and PSYC 1200, both with a C-.
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Explain the scientific findings reported in psychological journals
- Describe the principles and procedures through which psychologists design and carry out experiments
- Evaluate experimental methodology and research findings
- Describe the basic knowledge, principles, and methods used in psychological research
- Analyze psychological hypotheses and research data
- Explain the essential ethical issues related to psychological research
