Description
The purpose of the TESOL Internship is to provide Diploma students with the opportunity to put the theory and methodology presented in the program into practice in an English language classroom. The TESOL Internship consists of practice teaching preparation, and observation and supervised practice teaching in an ESL classroom.

Prerequisites
TESO 1266 taken prior or concurrently.
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Prepare lesson plans appropriate to learner level, needs and goals.
- Execute language lessons based on best practice methodology.
- Employ a variety of informal teaching strategies and techniques to monitor language development.
- Employ a variety of assessment strategies to monitor learner language development.
- Self-assess their own lessons in terms of teaching performance, lesson content and learners' response.
- Exhibit a professional and responsible attitude during the internship.
