Description
This course introduces apprentices to the safe servicing of a variety of heavy mechanical systems, including: advanced brake systems, advanced hydraulic systems, hybrid systems, hydraulic assisted steering systems, vehicle alignment and advanced cab and body structures. In the classroom and shop, they develop their ability to apply theoretical knowledge and occupational skills to all heavy mechanical work situations.

Prerequisites
Registered ITA Apprentice in Truck and Transport Mechanic or Transport Trailer Technician.
Course Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Diagnose and repair advanced brake systems
- Diagnose and repair advanced hydraulic systems
- Service, diagnose and repair hybrid systems
- Service diagnose and repair hydraulic assisted steering systems
- Align vehicles
- Repair advanced cab and body structures
