We are currently planning to host an in-person ceremony at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on Tuesday, June 28.
As the COVID-19 continues to evolve, and we will continue to follow recommendations from the Provincial Health Officer. If the ceremony needs to be delivered virtually due to changing guidelines, we will update the convocation website accordingly.

Artona photography offers photography for the graduating class.
Information for Spring 2022 is as follows:
You are encouraged to book early, weekends and evenings sell out fast.
Details:
- Each appointment is 30 minutes, you will have a variety of grad and business photos taken. One family pose is included.
- A 100% fully refundable $60 deposit is required at the time of your photo session. The $60 deposit will be a credit in your online account. Should you choose to place an order after viewing your previews, the $60 deposit will be applied to your order. If you choose not to order at this time, simply return the previews within 30 days and have your deposit fully refunded.
- All regalia (gowns, sashes, hats, etc.) and props are supplied by the photographer. You are encouraged to bring your own props.
- Depending on your preference, please wear a white collared shirt and tie, a white collared blouse, or a v-neck shirt

The limit of guest tickets is due to limited seating in the Queen Elizabeth Theatre and fire marshal regulations.
When you submit your RSVP online you will be able to print out your two guest tickets.

Yes, there is a waiting list. If you would like to request extra tickets, select the option “Yes, please notify me!” from the drop down menu when you submit your online RSVP form. Please note, we cannot guarantee that extra tickets will be available. If extra tickets are released, you will be notified via email one week before the ceremony.

No, you do not need to order a gown in advance. VCC will provide you with a gown on the day of the event, free of charge.
Gowns will be available for pick up from room 240 at the Downtown campus. The gown room will open at 10:30 a.m. Please note that all students must wear the gown as provided, in order to cross the stage.
Indigenous students are welcome to wear ceremonial regalia in place of, or with, VCC regalia.
The gown room will be closed during the ceremony, but will reopen after the ceremony. All students must return their gown to the gown room immediately following the ceremony.

Yes, there will be a coat check. Free coat check will be available to graduates in the gowning area for coats and umbrellas only. Please leave purses, backpacks, laptops, and other valuables at home or store with your guest(s).
A paid coat check is available for guests at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.

We ask that all graduates arrive at least two hours prior to their ceremony time to check-in and receive their gowns. The ceremony begins at 1 p.m.
