Family Literacy Certificate
Partnering with Literacy B.C., the Centre for Family Literacy and 2010 Legacies Now, Vancouver Community College is proud to host a new Family Literacy Certificate Program. Designed for those who currently work or plan to work in family literacy, this certificate program will build your knowledge and skills in a wide range of areas that are key to high quality programs and services. Unique across Canada, this credential offers an excellent curriculum facilitated by leaders in the family literacy field. Grade 12 English or equivalency is required for program entry. Please note: Fundamentals of Family Literacy is a prerequisite for all other courses.

Admission Requirements
General
VCC welcomes applications from Canadian citizens, permanent residents and international students.

Convention refugees as designated by the federal government; Foreign live-in caregivers; Individuals with work permits valid for at least one year, covering the duration of studies; or those with Approval in Principle letters from Citizenship and Immigration Canada; Legal dependents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents (certain conditions apply); Diplomats and their direct dependents; International exchange students. VCC will require proof of citizenship, residency, diplomatic or refugee status. Please see VCC's policy relating to admission for non-citizens and non-residents for more information. |
