What Access Point SSID should I connect to?

The public SSID available is called VCC_Public. Configure your laptop to connect to this SSID when in the College and then bring up a browser (eg. Internet Explorer, Firefox) to login.

VCC is also a member of EDUROAM. EDUROAM allows students, faculty and staff from Eduroam-enabled institutions to get Internet connectivity at their home campus and when visiting other participating campuses by simply opening their laptop, or wireless device, and logging-in with their home credentials. Eduroam-enabled members in BC include SFU, UBC, BCIT, Camosun, Okanagan and many others. Check the EDUROAM site for more information.

I'm a student or employee of the College, how do I login?

If you are an employee, use your network account and password to use the service. If you are a student, use your eight or nine digit student number and your BANNER PIN for the password. If you are unable to login, reset your BANNER PIN.

How do I login to Eduroam?

If you are a visiting guest or student from another institution, please contact your institution system support to find out what credentials you need to use.

If you are a VCC staff or student visiting another institution (outside of VCC), use the following credentials:

Staff: User ID should be the email address (jdoe@vcc.ca) and the password is your network password.
Students: User ID should be your unique student number and the password is your Banner PIN.

I need to use a Guest account at the College, how do I login?

As a guest at VCC, 1 hour free access is available. Click on "I agree to the Terms of Service" and click on "FREE CONNECT". After 1 hour, you will be prompted to pay the service. Payment plan options are presented after the 1 hour access.

Are there any charges to using the wireless service?

For students and employees, the service is free as long as you login with your employee or student account.

For guests, 1 hour free access is available. After 1 hour, you will be prompted to pay the service. Payment plan options are presented after the 1 hour access.

Who do I call if I need help with connecting to the service?

If you are having problems connecting to the service, please contact the Datavalet Customer Service line at 1-800-642-3958.
