Music and Media I (MUSC 1319)
This is the first term of a two-term course. In the first term, students are introduced to the basic functions of computers and music software to produce and share their music electronically. Students write musical scores with notation software and create music using digital audio workstations and music sequencers. Topics include recording, editing, and producing audio, and composing and arranging music on a computer. Self-reflection and self-evaluation are promoted throughout the course.
