Accessibility Assessor Certification Training - Foundation (HLTH 1111)

The Rick Hansen Foundation (RHF) Accessibility Assessor Certification Training Foundation level has been designed to train assessors to identify and certify accessible built environments using a rating system based upon a consistent methodology.

The overall objective is to make the built environment in Canada accessible for people of all abilities. This includes people who have mobility challenges, are blind or have low vision, or are Deaf or hard of hearing, but also families with children, seniors, or those with a temporary illness or injury.

With a combination of theory and hands-on practice, the course helps people planning, designing, and constructing the built environment understand accessibility form the perspective of people with disabilities, and measure the accessibility of their venues.
