As a publicly funded service organization, Vancouver Community College (VCC; the College) is to be open for all academic activities, student support, and the administration of business activities. The safety of students, employees, visitors, contractors and facilities will always be at the forefront of the College's concerns.

In the event of any safety or security threat, the College will consider the need to close all or part of its campus operations.

This policy establishes the principles and procedures that govern the actions of the College in the event of an unscheduled campus closure.
