VCC has partnered with the Volunteer Management Institute to offer a Volunteer Management program designed specifically for volunteer managers and those who work or volunteer in the non-profit sector. With diverse topics such as leadership and management, risk management, training and development, ethics, and event planning, this program will provide essential skills for anyone managing volunteers or working in a non-profit agency. Participants will learn strategies for effective volunteer management and will contribute to the success of their organization by aligning their learning with the mission and values of their organization. This course is designed for individuals responsible for developing funding proposals to granting agencies in order to support projects or ongoing programming in the non-profit sector. You will learn the essentials of putting together a successful proposal to key funding organizations. Bring your project ideas to class. What will you come away with? We will train you to think strategically in the development of your project proposal. Students will learn to build project logic models, describe why funding programs are created, and what funders are trying to achieve with their programs.
