PTA Principles and Practice 1 (OPTA 1219)
This course introduces students to the basic concepts and principles of physical therapy practice. Skills required to assist clients with functional mobility and therapeutic exercise will be explored. An emphasis on treatment interventions for clients with musculoskeletal conditions is examined. Students learn how to fit clients with mobility devices and assist with ambulation. Application of thermal modalities is also discussed. Prerequisite: OPTA 1114 Rehabilitation Skills
