Keyboarding 1 (VIIT 1001)
This course teaches students the basic elements of transcription. The course is also designed to familiarize students with different kinds of documents, grammar rules, etc. Lessons and drills are provided on cassette and in print. Weekly timed tests are done to assess speed and accuracy. Students are expected to achieve a typing speed of 35 words per minute by the end of the course. A Dictaphone or large print copy is used for drill practice.
This course is part of the Applied Technology for Visually Impaired, Office Administration for the Visually Impaired Programs.
