Korean Cuisine


Are you a chef or cook looking to expand your culinary repertoire? Join us for this special Korean Cuisine course. Emphasis is placed on ingredients, cooking techniques, food history and cultural influences. Apply these new techniques to prepare over 50 Korean dishes. The classes will be in-depth and fast-paced with demos resulting in delicious food to eat every week.

This course is part time, 4 months in length and is scheduled on Mondays from 1:00 pm to 7:45pm

The course will be taught by our very own Culinary Arts Assistant Department Head Chef Ysabel Sukic who travelled to Korea this summer.

VCC welcomes applications from Canadian citizens and permanent residents.

As Vancouver Community College is a post-secondary institution committed to educating adult learners, applicants should be 16 years of age or older or a graduate of a secondary school.

Please note that you must submit official transcripts and educational documents to support your application; unfortunately, we cannot accept photocopies or fax versions.

Missing prerequisites? VCC offers courses in Adult Upgrading and English as an Additional Language to help you meet your goals.

Professional Cook 1, and/or Professional Cook 2, and/or Red Seal, and/or Asian Culinary Arts, and/or equivalent industry experience-upon approval of the department head
