VCC is home to the Samsung Tech Institute, the only Samsung-certified appliance repair trainer in Western Canada. The Samsung Tech Institute provides a new and exclusive framework of knowledge that will directly impact the careers of graduates. Learn through practical training on the latest appliances to operate, diagnose, and service Samsung products. Successful students receive an Award of Achievement from VCC. Students are also eligible to receive a Samsung Certificate after submitting proofs of their having obtained certifications in Gas Appliance Technician certificate of qualification and Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP).To apply, please complete the application form. The Samsung Tech Institute - Appliance Repair Technician includes 2 courses (120 hours of instruction) taught part time over 10-12 weeks.
Samsung Electronics Canada Inc., worldwide electronics leader, has established six x $500 entrance awards per year at Vancouver Community College. The applicant must be enrolling in the Samsung Tech Institute - Appliance Repair Technician program in order to qualify for these entrance awards.

EVALUATION OF STUDENT LEARNING
Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory based on quizzes, class participation, and final exam
70% overall grade is required to receive a satisfactory grade
