A Celebration Stations as part of Go By Bike Week (May 31–June 6)
Join us for the second annual Cycling for the Climate Environment Fair—hosted by ecoVCC
Participants will include: student volunteers, Indigenous Education and Community Engagement, Canadian Association of Nurses for the Environment, Dance Today, VCC's Planetary Health Nursing, Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment, VCC Science and Math Departments, For Our Kids Vancouver, VCC's Environmental Sustainability Advisory Group, VCC Library & Learning Centre, and Centre for Sustainable Food Systems at UBC Farm Faculty of Land and Food Systems.
What to Expect:
- Participate in an opening circle, dancing, singing, and garden tour.
- Improve your knowledge about the UN’s 17 Sustainability Development Goals.
- Expand your awareness through engaging in fun and educational activities such as Forest Bathing 101, Climate Challenge Quiz, Recycling Bean Toss, and a SDG survey.
- Visit tables that will highlight food security, soil health, a clothing swap, and textiles repair.
- View student climate-themed exhibits related to exponential models.
- Create international connections through engagement to encourage reusing, recycling, and upcycling.
- Find opportunities to improve well-being by increasing capacity through shared efforts.
- See how education provides some stepping stones for all of us to feel hope and begin our own personal journey of climate action at this critical point in our human history.
Bring:
Used clothes to swap, items to mend, and a can of food for the Food Bank.
