Orange Shirt Day

Please join us for Orange Shirt Day: National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

VCC's Indigenous Education and Community Engagement department will be hosting this event to enhance our college community's understanding and awareness of the history of residential schools. This is a day to honour and remember the Survivors and Intergenerational Survivors of the Indian Residential School System, and its significant impact on Indigenous peoples of Canada. We will take time to:

· Learn the truth of our shared history

· Reflect on the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action

· Explore our individual and collective responsibilities as we continue the work of reconciliation

We encourage everyone to wear orange 🧡
