September 7	Labour Day: VCC is closed. Last day to drop online (with refund) from self-paced and class-based Academic Upgrading and University Transfer courses that start September 8. Dropped courses do not appear on a student's official transcript. Last day to drop from self-paced Academic Upgrading courses that started September 1.
September 8	Start of Fall term. First day of class for class-based Academic Upgrading and University Transfer courses. (Self-paced students, check your schedule.)
September 14	Last day to register in person for class-based Academic Upgrading and University Transfer courses that started September 8. Last day to drop from class-based Academic Upgrading and University Transfer (September to October) courses. Last day to drop from self-paced Academic Upgrading courses that started September 8. Dropped courses do not appear on a student's official transcript.
September 15	Last day to register for self-paced Academic Upgrading courses that started September 1 or 8.
September 16	$50 late registration fee applies to class-based Academic Upgrading and University Transfer courses that started Sep. 8.
September 29	Last day to drop online (with refund) from self-paced and class-based Academic Upgrading and University Transfer courses (October start). Dropped courses do not appear on a student's official transcript. Last day to change from credit to audit status for class-based Academic Upgrading and University Transfer courses (October start). Audit status cannot be granted until 2 weeks prior to the course start date.
September 30	National Day of Truth and Reconciliation: VCC is closed.
October 8	Last day to drop from self-paced Academic Upgrading courses that started Oct. 1 and end Dec. 17.
October 12	Thanksgiving Day: VCC is closed.
October 14	Withdrawal Deadline: Last day to withdraw from class-based Academic Upgrading and University Transfer courses that started Sep. 8 and end October 26.
October 15	Last day to register for self-paced Academic Upgrading courses that started October 1. Registration opens for class-based Academic Upgrading and University Transfer courses (January start).
November 6	Last day to drop from class-based Academic Upgrading courses that started November 2. Withdrawal Deadline: Last day to withdraw from self-paced Academic Upgrading courses that started Sep. 1 and end Nov. 8.
November 9	Last day to drop from self-paced Academic Upgrading courses that started November 2.
November 11	Remembrance Day: VCC is closed.
November 15	Last day to register for self-paced Academic Upgrading courses that started Nov. 2
November 17	Withdrawal Deadline: Last day to withdraw from class-based Academic Upgrading and University Transfer courses that started Sep. 8 and end Dec. 10. Individual course withdrawal deadlines vary. Withdrawn courses will appear with a "W" standing on a student's official transcript.
November 24	Withdrawal Deadline: Last day to withdraw from self-paced Academic Upgrading courses that started Sep. 8 and end Dec. 17.
November 25	Withdrawal Deadline: Last day to withdraw from self-paced Academic Upgrading courses that started Sep. 1 and end Dec. 31.
November 28	Registration for Winter ESL/EAL Pathways courses opens online.
November 29	Last day to register for or drop from self-paced Academic Upgrading courses that started Nov. 2 and end Dec. 15.
November 30	Withdrawal Deadline: Last day to withdraw from class-based Academic Upgrading and University Transfer (October start) courses. Withdrawal Deadline: Last day to withdraw from self-paced Academic Upgrading courses that started Oct. 1 and end Dec. 17. Withdrawn courses will appear with a "W" standing on a student's official transcript.
December 3	Fall Convocation Ceremony.
December 4	Withdrawal Deadline: Last day to withdraw from self-paced Academic Upgrading courses that started Nov. 2 and end Dec. 15. Withdrawal Deadline: Last day to withdraw from class-based Academic Upgrading and University Transfer courses that started Nov. 2 and end Dec. 4. Last day to drop from self-paced Academic Upgrading courses that started November 30 and end December 15.
December 7	Withdrawal Deadline: Last day to withdraw from self-paced Academic Upgrading courses that started Nov. 2 and end Dec. 17. Last day to drop from self-paced Academic Upgrading courses that started December 1 and end December 17.
December 7 - 9	Online and in-person registration is unavailable during this time.
December 11	Withdrawal Deadline: Last day to withdraw from self-paced Academic Upgrading courses that started Nov. 30 and end Dec. 15.
December 14	Withdrawal Deadline: Last day to withdraw from self-paced Academic Upgrading courses that started Dec. 1 and end Dec. 17.
December 15	Last day of fall classes and exams. Last day to register, drop, or withdraw from self-paced Academic Upgrading courses that started Nov. 30 or Dec. 1 and end Dec. 15 or Dec. 17.
December 18	Final grade submission deadline.
December 23, 2026 to January 1, 2027	VCC closes for the Winter Break. The College re-opens on Monday, January 4, 2027.
