Apprenticeship Training Registration

Once you have submitted your application on EducationPlanner BC and received registration information from VCC, follow these steps to register for apprenticeship training.

 

Get Ready

Collect these things before you begin:

  • Your EducationPlanner BC application confirmation email
  • Email from VCC with instructions on how to log in and register
  • Your  SkilledTradesBC ID number. This is mandatory
  • Your personal information, including a valid email address
  • Your VCC ID number
  • Credit card or banking information
  • The course reference number (CRN) of the course you want to register into

Step 1

Set up your myVCC login:

  1. Go to myVCC
  2. Enter your student ID and password
    • If this is your first time logging in, your initial password will use your birthdate in this format: VCCMMDDYY# (“VCC” plus your birthday (MMDDYY) plus hashtag ("#"). For example, if your birthday is January 30, 1995, your initial temporary password will be VCC013095#. After your first login, you will be prompted to create a new, secure password
    • The first time you go into MyServices, you will be prompted to setup Self Service Password Reset and Multifactor Authentication(MFA). You can find a step-by-step guide to MFA set up here
    • If you have trouble logging in, please call the VCC Help Desk at 604.443.8700 or email helpme@vcc.ca

Step 2

Register in courses:

  1. Click My Services
  2. Click the Apprentice Registration card
  3. Click Register for Courses
  4. Select a term:
    • Winter: January - April
    • Spring/Summer: May - August
    • Fall: September - December 
  5. Click Continue
    • If you know the Course Reference Number (CRN) of the course you want to register into:
      1. Click on the Enter CRNs tab
      2. Enter the CRN(s)
      3. Click Add to Summary
      4. Click Submit
    • If you don't know the CRN, you can find the CRN on the program page or:
      1. Click on the Find Classes tab
      2. Choose a subject area or course number
      3. Click Search
      4. Find the class(es) you want to register into
      5. Click Add
      6. Click Submit
  6. Check your registration and fees
 

Step 3

Pay your fees and provide proof of payment:

1. Make your payment by the due date

  • If you are registering more than two months before the start of class:
    • $200 non-refundable deposit must be paid within 48 hours of registering or your registration will be cancelled.
    • The remainder of your fees must be paid at least two months before the start of class, or your registration will be cancelled.
  • If you are registering less than two months before the start of class:
    • Full fees (including a $200 non-refundable deposit) are required at the time of registration. 

2. Provide proof of payment:

  • Send an email to apprentice@vcc.ca that includes:
    • A screenshot of your confirmed payment transaction
    • Your VCC ID number
    • Your full name
  • Note: If you do not send this information within 48 hours, your registration may be automatically cancelled.

Step 4

View your schedule:

  1. Click My Services
  2. Click the Register for Courses or Apprentice Registration card
  3. Click View Schedule
