Ajay Patel, MHK (he/him)

Ajay joined VCC in May 2019 as Vice President, Enterprise and International Development, and was unanimously endorsed by VCC's Board of Governors for the role of President in May 2020. Ajay promotes VCC's interests to government and stakeholders, inspires the Senior Team, and leads VCC's vision, values, and strategy for the next decade of innovation in teaching and learning to empower learners and transform the region.

David Wells, MA, JD (he/him)

David joined VCC in July 2014 as Dean, School of Arts and Sciences and entered the role of VP in July 2019. He is the senior education officer for VCC and responsible for program development and curriculum indigenization for over 150 programs across three campuses in the School of Arts and Science, School of Health Sciences, School of Trades, Technology and Design, and School of Hospitality, Food Studies and Applied Business.

Jane Jae-Kyung Shin, MEd, MD (she/her)

Jane joined VCC in May 2010 as a science faculty, and served in the roles of Dean and Associate Vice President of Student Success before entering the role of VP in August 2020. She is the senior advisor for VCC's 10-year Strategic Innovation Plan and advances the college's work on Truth and Reconciliation, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. Jane provides leadership to Indigenous Education and Community Engagement, Marketing and Communications, VCC Foundation and Alumni, Partnership Development, and External and Government Relations.

Ian Humphreys, PhD (he/him)

Ian joined VCC in April 2020. He provides key leadership for VCC's Campus Master Plan, business performance, system innovation, risk management, and operational sustainability. Ian's areas of responsibilities include Facilities Management, Environment, Safety and Security, International Education, and Continuing Studies.

Kate Dickerson (she/her)

Kate joined VCC in May 2021. She provides senior leadership in VCC’s human resources management, including labour relations, salary and benefits, employee advising and training, organizational development, wellness, and the integration of Payroll and Human Resources Information systems and records.

Elmer Wansink (he/him)

Elmer joined VCC in February 2015 as IT Manager, and served as Associate Director before entering the role of AVP in April 2019. As VCC’s Chief Information Officer, Elmer provides strategic direction in IT governance, including business intelligence and data, telecommunication networks and systems, cybersecurity, and technical support, and also oversees Institutional Research.

Tannis Morgan, PhD (she/her)

Tannis joined VCC in February 2021. With the Vice President, Academic and Applied Research, Tannis plans and advances teaching, learning, and research innovation at VCC. Her areas of responsibility include VCC Library, VCC Learning Centre, School of Instructor Education, and the Centre for Teaching, Learning and Research. Tannis also leads initiatives on online learning, alternate delivery, universal design, and open educational resources.

Clayton Munro, MA (he/him)

Clayton joined VCC in December 2019 as Dean, Indigenous Initiatives and entered the role of AVP in August 2020. With the Vice President, Students and Community Development, Clayton ensures quality, relevance, and accessibility of all student services and policies. Clayton also leads cross-institutional initiatives on student life, mental health and wellbeing, issues resolution, and strategic enrolment.

Jamie Choi (she/her)

Jamie joined VCC in January 2015 and is the college's senior financial officer. With the Vice President, Administration and International Development, Jamie provides leadership and services in capital and infrastructure planning, enrolment planning and forecasting, investment management, and financial reporting, policies, and control. Her areas of oversight include Payroll Services, Commercial Services, and Procurement Services.
