President's welcome — Spring 2026

Dear VCC community,

Welcome to the spring semester at Vancouver Community College (VCC). Whether you are returning, joining us for the first time, or reconnecting after some time away, I’m glad to have you with us for the months ahead.

Join me in wishing 10 of our students best of luck as they fly to Toronto this month for the 2026 Skills Canada National Competitions after winning gold at the Provincial level. I’m also delighted to share that students from our Fashion program showcased at Vancouver Fashion Week, North America’s second largest fashion week after New York Fashion Week. The collections presented by our students draw on a wide range of influences, including Indigenous, Colombian, Chinese, Filipino, and South Korean cultural heritages.

At our Broadway campus, construction of the Centre for Clean Energy and Automotive Innovation - the catalyst project of our Campus Plan - continues to take shape. This project will create innovative learning spaces that prepare students for careers in the rapidly evolving fields of clean energy and transportation.
