Professional Practice for Pharmacy Technicians 1 (PHAR 1100)

This course introduces students to the pharmacy profession and the role of pharmacy professionals in providing health care services. Students will explore an overview of the Canadian health care system, including the roles and responsibilities of health care professionals, standards of practice, related federal and provincial legislation, and workplace safety issues. Students will be introduced to Indigenous perspectives, knowledge, and practices within the context of healthcare. Students will also begin learning medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology relevant to the profession.
