Communications for Pharmacy Technicians 2 (PHAR 2120)
This course builds on foundational communication skills and focuses on the application of interpersonal and professional communication required to work effectively in a pharmacy setting. Students will develop conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques in managing challenging interactions with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals. Issues pertaining to harassment, discrimination, and inter-cultural communication will be discussed. Students will apply communication skills through conducting medication history interviews and medication reconciliations. Students will further prepare for pharmacy practice by creating professional development plans.
