President's welcome — Fall 2025

Dear VCC community,

I’m excited to welcome you to the 2025-2026 school year! As president of Vancouver Community College, I extend my warmest greetings to the new students joining us this fall, and welcome back to our returning students, faculty and staff.

With September nearly upon us, our Broadway and Downtown campuses shift out of summer mode and become lively hubs of activity and excitement. With new classes, new faces and plenty of events, this is a great time to make connections and build community.

Speaking of activity, VCC is making great progress on our ambitious Campus Plan. Our signature project, the Centre for Clean Energy and Automotive Innovation is still under construction at our Broadway campus. Once complete, this new Centre will become a focal point along the Great Northern Way corridor and will serve as a training ground for creating a more sustainable future.

We recognize that ongoing construction has an impact on our Broadway campus and nearby neighbourhood, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue these revitalization efforts. To keep informed about this transformational project, I encourage you to visit the Campus Plan on our website.

Fall Welcome Week (September 9–11) will be a wonderful chance to come together, with events happening on both campuses. I encourage you to take part, meet new people, and make the most of the supports and resources available to you. You’ll also find a short video below that highlights services designed to help you succeed.
