Pharmacology for Pharmacy Technicians 1 (PHAR 1102)
Students will be introduced to the study of pharmacology and therapeutics. Students will explore general concepts of how drugs affect the body, routes of drug administration and dosage forms. Students will study drugs affecting the nervous, musculo-skeletal, respiratory and cardiovascular system, focusing on their therapeutic uses and potential side effects. Students also examine the proper use of various medical devices. As part of a holistic approach to care, students will explore health practices of Indigenous peoples in Canada.
