Services Update During Canada Post Labour Dispute
November 3 Student Records Services Update:
Canada Post has resumed operations. As a result, we have updated our current processes and timelines (see details below). Please expect a delay as Canada Post works through the backlog of mail received prior to the national strike action.
We will continue to monitor the ongoing Canada Post labour action as contract negotiations continue. Please continue to check our website daily for information and services updates. Any updates to our services will be published here. Regular processing timelines apply. Please note that we do not offer rush or courier services.
Credentials/Parchments:
- Student credentials will continue to be sent via regular mail to the current address listed on the student record. Please ensure your full mailing address is up to date and complete.
- Note: If you completed the program with Continuing Studies, please contact the Continuing Studies department directly at 604.871.7000, option 3.
- More information on the upcoming Fall convocation is available on our website.
- Unofficial transcripts are available to current students via their myVCC student self-service accounts. Students may review their academic record online and have the option to print a copy. These copies are not official documents and do not bear any of the security features of an official transcript.
- We will continue to process transcripts following our current timelines. The processing window for transcripts is approximately 10 business days. Current students may may submit an online request for an official transcript via their myVCC student account. Transcript requests may also be submitted via mail or email to records@vcc.ca.
- Transcripts can be mailed to your choice of destination. Requests must include complete mailing address information including postal codes.
- Please note that VCC alumni who have not registered in courses for 3 years or more will not be able to submit an online request for an official transcript via their myVCC student account. Alumni may mail or email their request or request a transcript in person at the Registrar’s Office at any VCC campus location.
- For students who cannot wait the 10 business days allowed for processing, you may request an official printed transcript at the Registrar's Office at any VCC campus location. Transcripts issued in-person are provided directly to the student. To request that your transcript be sent to another institution or organization, please refer to one of the other options listed.
We will continue to process document and form requests such as (domestic) confirmation of enrollment letters and replacement credentials following our current guidelines. The processing window for document and form requests is approximately 10 business days. Students may request email copies of their confirmation of enrollment letters. Replacement credentials must be picked up in person at the front counter of the Registrar’s Office at any VCC campus location. Please note that official photo identification is required for pick-up.
International students require more specialized confirmation of enrolment letters for immigration purposes (i.e.: study permit extensions, TRV extensions, etc.). Please visit the International Education website to download the request form: www.vcc.ca/international/current-students/resources/forms .
