Find out how to request a copy of your VCC transcript

An official transcript is a complete record of your academic history at Vancouver Community College. It lists classes in progress, courses you have taken, grades received, credentials awarded and other information relating to your educational achievements at VCC. All official transcripts are printed on branded security paper with the VCC seal and signature of the Registrar.

Before Requesting an Official Transcript:

  • Outstanding financial and other student account holds must be cleared before an official transcript can be released.
  • Official transcripts reflect your academic record at the time of your request. It is your responsibility to review your academic record to ensure all courses, grades and/or credentials are listed prior to submitting their request.

Current VCC students are able to access a printable version of their academic record via their myVCC student self-service accounts. These copies are not official documents and do not bear any of the security features of an official transcript.

Students may request official transcripts as follows:

  1. Online (through myVCC): Current students, and VCC alumni who have attended VCC within the past 3 years may submit an online request for an official transcript via their myVCC student account. Please allow 10 business days for processing.
    • Read the instructions for requesting a transcript online.
    • VCC alumni who have not registered in courses for 3 years or more will not be able to submit an online request for an official transcript via their myVCC student account. Alumni may use one of the other options listed below to request an official transcript.
    • Please note that the Registrar's Office will not issue unofficial transcripts.
  2. In-person: If you require an official transcript immediately, please submit a completed  Request for Official Transcript Form to the Registrar's Office at any VCC campus location. In-person transcript requests require immediate payment and these transcripts are issued directly to the student.  To request that your transcript be sent to another institution or organization, please refer to one of the other options listed.

Frequently asked questions

What information appears on my official transcript?

An official transcript from Vancouver Community College includes the terms, subject codes, course numbers, course titles, credits, and final grades. The transcript will also include term and cumulative grade point averages and credentials granted.

Other information related to a student’s official academic record will also be included such as withdrawals, audited and repeated courses, transfer credits, credits earned through Prior Learning Assessment, and course exemptions. Courses dropped before the freeze dates during the applicable terms will not appear on the official transcript.

Depending on the level of the course work attempted and/or completed, the VCC transcript may be printed over several pages to differentiate between the academic levels.

When and how will my transcripts be mailed out?

Transcripts are printed and mailed out daily following the regular processing timelines indicated on our website. Official, sealed transcripts are mailed via Canada Post to the address provided on the request form. VCC is not responsible for delayed or lost mail.

Rush and courier services are not provided.

Can I cancel my transcript request and receive a refund?

No. Transcript requests are non-refundable, and cancellations are not permitted.

I am a former VCC student, and I am in the process of applying for a different VCC program. Do I need to submit copies of my transcripts again? Do I need to provide a VCC transcript?

No. If you are a current or former VCC student and are applying to another VCC program, you do not need to resubmit the transcripts we have on file from your previous application. You also do not need to provide a VCC transcript to support your current application; we have your grades on file.

However, if you have completed any post-secondary course work since you last attended VCC, you will need to provide official transcripts for this course work as part of your new application and/or for the purposes of transfer credit.

VCC has an official transcript from another institution I attended on file. Can you forward that transcript to another institution or organization?

No. High school and/or post-secondary transcripts submitted as part of the application/admission process or submitted as part of a transfer credit/PLAR request are considered the property of VCC and cannot be forwarded to other institutions or organizations.
