Graduates of the following trades programs may start and continue their careers as tradespersons once registered with SkilledTradesBC.

Fully Online Programs and Courses

Fully online programs are not eligible for study permit support or PGWP (Post-Graduation Work Permit).

Apprenticeship Training

Apprenticeship training may be available to eligible international students under a temporary public policy. Review the eligibility requirements, international tuition, course offerings, and application steps before applying.

Programs Not Offered to International Students

Some popular programs are not available to international students due to facility capacity and other limitations.

The following programs are not open to international applicants:

Early Childhood Care and Education Certificate

Pharmacy Technician
Practical Nursing Diploma

Note:

The Early Childhood Care and Education Diploma is available to international students (the certificate option is not).
The Health Care Assistant Diploma is available to international students (the certificate option is not).
